STORYBOARDS

Just like in the original tale, the Snow Queen kidnaps Kai, the little boy. Soon after, Gerda, his best friend and neighbor runs away from home, so she can bring him back safely. This scene takes after all those events as we see the two protagonist’s parents dealing with grief, since they both assume their children are dead. Despite his sorrow, Kai’s father tries initaing contact with Gerda’s mother, so maybe they can deal with the situation together, but Gerda’s mother upholds a reclusive behavior.

Ahogy az eredeti mesében, a Hókirálynő elrabolja Kait. Nemsokkal ezután Gerda, a szomszéd kislány megszökik otthonról, hogy biztonságban hazahozhassa őt. Ebben a jelentben a két főszereplő szüleit látjuk gyászolni, mivel azt feltételezik, hogy gyermekeik halottak. In this scene, the Snow Queen’s evil artifact, a mirror falls down from the sky into a secluded little town (resembling to Danish/Norwegian towns), The idea was to establish how the town looks, and the feeling of relative peace that the mirror disrupts eventually. Some characters got a bit more focus (like the pirate, who tries to drink from the broken barrel) since they will appear later in the story.

Ebben a jelenetben a Hókirálynő gonosz ereklyéje, egy tükör hullik alá az égből egy félreeső kisvárosba (ami dán/norvég kisvárosokra hasonlít). A cél a helyszín körbemutatása volt, és a békés, nyugalmas életvitel érzete, amit a tükör végül megzavar. Néhány szereplő (például a kalóz, aki megpróbál inni a törött hordóból) kicsit jobban kiemelésre kerül, mivel később feltűntek még a történetben.
